WEST HOLLYWOOD BUNGALOW
Designing a home for a young Hollywood family meant creating spaces that could easily transition from entertaining industry colleagues to everyday life with small children. Inspired by the character of 1940s California Arts & Crafts architecture, the interiors celebrate the home's soaring ceilings, graceful arches, and intricate ironwork while introducing a relaxed, contemporary approach to family living.
Working closely with a local Los Angeles furniture designer, Kadlec Architecture + Design created a custom dining table that pairs the natural contours of a single rough-hewn hickory slab with refined bronze detailing. Throughout the home, natural materials, handcrafted elements, and thoughtfully selected furnishings reinforce the warmth and authenticity of the architecture.
The result is a home that feels distinctly Californian—comfortable enough for everyday family life while providing an elegant backdrop for entertaining.
