CITY PIED-À-TERRE
Located within one of Chicago’s most celebrated examples of Art Deco architecture, this residence at the historic Palmolive Building presented a unique opportunity to create a highly personal home within an iconic setting. Our client sought an interior that embraced the building’s character while reflecting a more contemporary and individualized approach to city living.
Kadlec Architecture + Design developed a fully bespoke interior defined by refined detailing, rich materials, and a carefully layered palette. Subtle variations in texture, tone, and finish create depth throughout the residence, while expansive lake views provide a constantly changing backdrop to the interiors.
The result is a sophisticated urban home that celebrates the elegance of its historic surroundings while feeling distinctly personal and contemporary.
