LOBBY RENOVATION

The Residences at 900 engaged Kadlec to reimagine the lobby and residential common corridors of 900 North Michigan. Originally converted from office space to condominiums, the building retained a distinctly corporate character. Our goal was to create a warmer, more welcoming environment that reflected the experience of arriving home.

Working within the existing architectural framework of stone flooring and mahogany paneling, we reconfigured the security desk and lounge to establish a more intuitive and inviting entry sequence. A richly textured palette, comfortable furnishings, updated lighting, and a curated art program bring warmth and residential character to the public spaces while complementing the building's original materials. These design elements were carried throughout the common corridors, creating a cohesive and elevated experience from arrival to residence.
