Designed as an in-town retreat for business travel and family visits, this condominium at the Austin Proper Residences was reimagined as a warm, inviting home base with a relaxed sense of sophistication. Working within the existing layout and finishes, Kadlec Architecture + Design introduced a thoughtful layering of furnishings, decorative lighting, and custom details to define the open living spaces and create a more intimate, functional environment.

A rich palette of textured upholstery, softly patterned rugs, natural materials, and decorative finishes draws inspiration from the surrounding Southwest landscape. Saddle leathers, burnished metals, and varied wood tones bring warmth and depth while creating a sense of casual refinement. A moody lounge area provides a dedicated space for family game nights, conversation, and evening relaxation.
